“Learning how to understand and recognize postural alignment in a body really helped me understand Pilates as a uniform system, as well as how to organize a flow and have intentional cueing. RPC™️ taught me that!”

FAQs
Can I ask questions Throughout the seminars?
Questions are welcome! Your faculty will give you time after each section to ask any questions that might arise. We encourage critical thinkers to enroll in our course which means questions are a natural part of the learning process.
What if I can’t do or shouldn’t do an exercise?
It's true that part of our seminar weekends is doing the exercises but it's also true that we believe our students should adapt and modify at all times for their own bodies. Mr. Pilates taught to the body in front of him and we do the same. Adaptations and accessible options are part of your coursework and should also be applied to your own body whenever needed.
What would I need to bring to the seminars?
Yourself, an open mind, something to take notes in your manual with, snacks, water, layers to stay comfortable.
Do I need to have prior Pilates knowledge?
It's recommended that you have taken at least 75 hours of Pilates lessons or classes before starting your coursework.
What are the independent study hours outside of seminars?
215 Hours outside of seminars will be completed by each graduate. ~72 hours each of observation, guided practice and student teaching.
Will I have the option to add-on the comprehensive certification if I choose to in the future?
Absolutely! All Lynchburg Pilates students will be able to bridge into the full comprehensive program with Rebel Pilates Collective should you want to in the future.
What if I need to miss a day or a whole weekend, can I make it up?
100%. Students can wait for Lynchburg Pilates to offer their Teacher Training again and make up the missed modules at that time for free, or they can hire the faculty to cover missed material.
Other costs:
Practicing Pilates yourself will be part of your independent study. The cost of Pilates classes or sessions will depend on where you do Pilates and how (class, semi-private, private). We allow our students to do their guided personal Pilates practice in the studio of their choice with any comprehensively certified teacher or Lynchburg Pilates or Rebel Pilates Collective apprentice teacher.
RPC™️ allows apprentices to work together to greatly reduce this expense.
Audits and make-ups are free for life.
Lynchburg Pilates will provide limited observation and practice space for all of our students for free. If you are a ‘remote student’ and will be traveling in to Lynchburg, connecting to a local studio in your area will be required. Negotiating potential fees with them could be a cost you will need to consider for your independent study hours. Not all studios will charge you but they may.
Testing:
After completion of each module and associated hours, students will be graded on teaching the learned exercises and implementing learned strategies.
There is no additional fee for testing.
Upon successful completion of all four seminars, hours and testing students will be given a certificate of completion to complete their graduation.
